Box Hill United FC
The opportunity:
Box Hill United Football Club are one of Victoria’s most historic clubs, having been founded in 1922. Before a merger with Bulleen Lions and Brunswick Juventus in 1996, Box Hill had won nine championships and 11 promotions – winning the Victorian State League title on one occasion in 1948 and finishing in second place two times.
The club had been known as “Box Hill International Soccer Club” until 2010, until another merger was completed with Southern Suburbs Pythagoras SC.
In late 2013, Box Hill were accepted into the National Premier Leagues Victoria – where they have competed ever since.
Now referred to as Box Hill United Pythagoras Football Club, they field senior men’s and women’s teams, as well as a highly-regarded youth development program – from Miniroos and all the way through junior NPL.
The project:
Box Hill United has a wealth of history, but they needed a way to share this with their members and fans, as well as provide the best possible media coverage for their senior and junior teams.
The main goal is to promote the club not only from a game day point of view, but also related to any business-to-business operations and events.
As part of laying the foundations, the club’s official website was rebuilt to transform the way communications would be presented, such as collaborating on major announcements involving key partners including Golden Age.
From there, we have produced articles on players, coaches, businesses and all other news that needs to be shared to members – as well as further promotion through social media channels and email updates.
