Manchester United

The opportunity:

Founded in 1878 as Newton Heath L&YR Football Club, Manchester United has over 140 years of history and is regarded as one of the biggest football clubs in the world.

 

Based at Old Trafford since 1910, the Club’s standing in football is undisputed, both from a domestic and international level. Nicknamed as the ‘Red Devils’, Manchester United have won a record 20 top-flight league titles, 13 FA Cups, 6 League Cups and a record 21 FA Community Shields, culminated by the 2024 FA Cup trophy lifted up.

 

Manchester United’s European success has seen them win the UEFA Champions League three times, plus the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the Intercontinental Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup once each.

 

The project:

As first announced in November 2023, Manchester United and WOW HYDRATE confirmed a multi-year global partnership, where the latter is the official sports hydration partner of the Red Devils.

 

From an initial press release, both organisations were seeking to lift the profile of this significant deal to a worldwide audience of fans.

 

To get a complete understanding on what the partnership represents, we conducted interviews with WOW HYDRATE Managing Director Queenie Porter, and Manchester United’s CEO of Alliances and Partnerships, Victoria Timpson. Combined, it formed a feature article which was produced and promoted across social media platforms, with curated graphic design posts.

 

WOW HYDRATE is available during matchdays at the Old Trafford stadium, with expansion of the product an exciting area of growth for both parties.
